CHRISTMAS 2008

On a bitterly cold Christmas Eve the Rose and Crown was full of warmth and happiness. The gathered throng of merry-makers felt more like Wimbledon Fortnight than the depths of winter. Like the ghosts of Christmas past, it's become a tradition that old friends choose this time to come back and visit. It's a chance to catch-up on news and gossip from those we have worked alongside and those we have served.

The main bar was manned by Santa's favourite helpers - Bling & Wes. The two chef's - Gary & Steve - after producing a fantastic Christmas lunch, turned themselves into Tom Cruise clones as Bar Rosa sprung back to life like a phoenix from the ashes. Nicky, the hostess with the most-ess, mingled from group to group (taking full advantage of the mistletoe en-route!) and competed with Iwona for the title of "fastest glass collector in the (south) west" Lee constantly cashed-up like the King in his counting house and the tills rang out like Christmas bells!!!

All in all a good time was had by all.
